The MLBB Championship Tour Americas 2026 Split 2 (MCT AMER Split 2) brings the Americas back together for the second half of the competitive season.
Sixteen teams from across North America, Central America, Latin America and Brazil enter the unified regional circuit with one destination in mind: the M8 World Championship.
Running from September through November, MCT AMER Split 2 separates its competitors into North and South sections before the strongest teams move forward through the Playoffs and toward the final battle for the Americas.
For the eventual finalists, the tournament leads beyond a regional title.
The champion earns direct qualification to M8, while the runner-up continues the journey through the M8 Wildcard.
One circuit for the Americas
MCT AMER was introduced in 2026 as a unified competitive structure for the wider Americas region.
Rather than separating North America and Latin America into completely independent international pathways, the Championship Tour connects multiple parts of the continent under the same circuit.
The competition covers:
- North America
- Central America
- Latin America
- Brazil
Split 2 features 16 teams, divided between a North section and a South section during the opening phase of the tournament.
| MCT AMER Split 2 | Details |
|---|
| Teams | 16 |
| Regions | North America, Central America, Latin America, Brazil |
| Organizers | MOONTON Games & NODWIN Gaming |
| Start Date | September 11, 2026 |
| Swiss Stage | September 11 – October 4 |
| International Qualification | M8 Main Stage + M8 Wildcard |
The regional split gives teams the opportunity to first compete against opposition from their side of the Americas before the tournament begins narrowing the field toward its final stages.
North and South begin through Swiss competition
Both sides of MCT AMER start with their own eight-team Swiss Stage.
Instead of following a traditional Round Robin, teams are repeatedly matched against opponents with similar records.
Win, and the next opponent is likely to be another team performing well.
Lose, and the pressure steadily increases.
The objective is simple:
reach three wins before reaching three losses.
Teams that accumulate three victories secure progression, while three defeats end their run.
Series become longer as the pressure increases
The opening Swiss rounds begin with Best of 3 matches.
As teams move closer to qualification or elimination, the tournament shifts toward longer Best of 5 series.
| Swiss Situation | Match Format |
|---|
| Opening Matches | Best of 3 |
| Standard Early Swiss Matches | Best of 3 |
| Promotion Matches | Best of 5 |
| Elimination Matches | Best of 5 |
| Final Swiss Matches | Best of 5 |
This creates a natural escalation throughout the stage.
Early results establish momentum, but the most important qualification and elimination series give teams more games to adapt, draft and prove which roster deserves to move forward.
Twelve teams move on
The Swiss Stage reduces the field without immediately cutting the competition down to only a handful of teams.
The Top 6 teams from the North and the Top 6 teams from the South advance into the Playoffs.
| Stage | Teams Remaining |
|---|
| MCT AMER Split 2 | 16 |
| North Swiss Stage | 8 |
| South Swiss Stage | 8 |
| Qualified from North | 6 |
| Qualified from South | 6 |
| Total Playoff Teams | 12 |
For the four teams that fail to progress, the road to M8 ends during the Swiss Stage.
For the remaining twelve, the competition moves into its decisive phase.
A new chapter after Split 1
The first MCT AMER split established the new Americas circuit earlier in 2026.
Entity7 emerged as the inaugural MCT AMER champion, defeating Alpha7 North in the final stage of the competition.
That result sent Entity7 directly to the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, while Alpha7 North earned the Americas' place in the MSC Wildcard.
Split 2 follows the same wider philosophy but raises the stakes even further.
This time, the destination is not MSC.
It is the M8 World Championship.
The road to M8
MCT AMER Split 2 awards two international opportunities to the strongest teams in the region.
The tournament champion qualifies directly for the M8 World Championship Main Stage.
The runner-up earns a place in the M8 Wildcard, where another opportunity to reach the main tournament awaits.
The pathway is clear:
MCT AMER Split 2 → Playoffs → AMER Final → M8 World Championship
| Final Result | Qualification |
|---|
| Champion | M8 World Championship |
| Runner-up | M8 Wildcard |
That makes reaching the final more than a fight for regional placement.
It determines which teams will carry the Americas into MLBB's biggest championship of the season.
Different regions, different styles
One of the defining elements of MCT AMER is the range of competitive environments represented inside the same tournament.
Teams from Brazil and Latin America bring their own established histories, while North and Central American rosters arrive through different local ecosystems.
Bringing those scenes together creates matchups that may rarely happen inside domestic competition.
Different drafting tendencies, different approaches to tempo and different regional metas all eventually meet inside the same circuit.
By the time the strongest North and South teams collide, adapting to unfamiliar opposition can become just as important as mastering a team's own style.
The Americas have two chances at M8
International qualification also means MCT AMER does not place the entire region's hopes on a single roster.
Two teams will leave the tournament with their M8 journey still alive.
One will arrive directly on the main stage.
The other will have to survive the Wildcard.
For every other team, Split 2 represents the final opportunity of the circuit to prove they belong among the region's best.
Sixteen teams begin that race.
Only two will carry it beyond the Americas.
