1.1. Controller Details
The operator of mltv.gg and the controller responsible for personal data processing is SURGE Europe s. r. o., Topoľčianska 3202/14, 851 05 Bratislava, Slovakia. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
2.1. Website Delivery and Security
Technical connection information, including an IP address, may be processed to deliver MLTV, maintain its availability, and protect it against malicious traffic. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable, and accessible website.
2.2. Aggregate Website Analytics
Plausible Analytics Cloud processes visited pages, referral source, visit duration, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate geographic area to measure general traffic trends and improve MLTV. It does not use analytics cookies, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking, and the raw IP address is not stored. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in proportionate, privacy-preserving website analytics.
3.1. Categories of Player Data
MLTV may publish a participant's first and last name, gaming nickname or in-game identifier, photograph or avatar, age, nationality, team affiliation, match results, rankings, and performance statistics.
3.2. Sources of Player Data
Player information may be provided voluntarily by the player or their authorized representative or obtained from publicly accessible sources concerning esports competitions, teams, and player careers. If information is not provided directly, we may rely only on information lawfully available from other sources. Further available source information can be provided on request. Our Intellectual Property & Content Disclaimer explains our approach to third-party material.
3.3. Purpose and Legal Bases
Player information is published to document participants, teams, results, and the history of covered esports competitions. Information submitted with prior consent is processed under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Publicly sourced profile and competition information is processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate and useful esports record. We publish only information relevant to this purpose and assess necessity and proportionality with particular care for players under 18 and for photographs or avatars.
4.1. Visitor Data
SURGE Europe does not independently store visitor IP addresses. Technical connection information is retained by the relevant service provider only as needed for website delivery and security. Aggregate analytics are retained while our analytics account remains active and as long as needed for historical comparison and improvement of MLTV, and are deleted earlier when no longer required.
4.2. Player Records
Player and tournament records may be retained without a predetermined end date to preserve historical teams, matches, and results, including after active participation ends. Consent-based data is retained while consent remains valid; other player data is retained only while necessary for our stated legitimate interest and subject to the rights below.
5.1. Recipients and Safeguards
Public player information may be viewed by any website visitor. Cloudflare, Inc. provides website delivery and security, and Plausible Insights OÜ processes analytics on our behalf; they may use safeguarded subprocessors where necessary. Plausible stores website analytics in the European Union. Cloudflare may process technical information outside the European Economic Area, in which case an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another safeguard permitted by Chapter V GDPR applies. Further information about these safeguards, or a copy where available, can be provided on request.
6.1. GDPR Rights
Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. After an objection, processing will stop unless compelling overriding grounds or legal claims justify its continuation.
6.2. Exercising Your Rights
Send requests to [email protected] and, for a player request, identify the relevant profile. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity.
6.3. Supervisory Authority
You may lodge a complaint with the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky at www.dataprotection.gov.sk.
