The MLBB Championship Tour East Asia (MCT EA) brings together four of East Asia's developing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ecosystems under one regional competitive circuit.
Representing China, Japan, South Korea and Mongolia, MCT EA creates a common stage where teams that begin through different national pathways can eventually meet for regional supremacy and qualification to MLBB's biggest international tournaments.
After making its debut in Shanghai earlier in 2026, the circuit now moves to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where six teams will compete in the second MCT EA event of the year and continue the region's road toward the M8 World Championship.
Four countries, one East Asian circuit
MCT EA connects four national MLBB scenes:
- 🇨🇳 China
- 🇯🇵 Japan
- 🇰🇷 South Korea
- 🇲🇳 Mongolia
Each country develops its representatives through its own domestic competitive structure before sending its strongest teams onto the regional stage.
| Country | MCT EA Split 2 Pathway | Slots |
|---|
| China | MLBB China Masters Season 3 | 2 |
| Mongolia | ESN National Championship League Season 1 | 2 |
| Japan | National Qualifier | 1 |
| South Korea | National Qualifier | 1 |
| Total | | 6 |
The result is a six-team championship that brings together different competitive environments inside one tournament.
China sends two teams through the China Masters
China receives two places at MCT EA through the MLBB China Masters Season 3.
The country's domestic competition acts as the main pathway into the regional circuit, with the Champion and Runner-up qualifying for the Ulaanbaatar event.
This gives China's expanding MLBB ecosystem a direct connection between national competition and East Asia's wider international pathway.
As MLBB continues to establish itself in mainland China, MCT EA provides the country's strongest organisations with opportunities to compete regularly against teams from outside their domestic environment.
Mongolia earns two places on home ground
Mongolia will also send two representatives to the next MCT EA event.
The country's slots were determined through the ESN National Championship League Season 1, with The MongolZ and The Akatsuki securing their places in the regional tournament.
For Mongolia, the upcoming event carries additional significance.
The next MCT EA will be played in Ulaanbaatar, bringing East Asia's premier regional MLBB competition to the country for the first time.
The MongolZ will enter that stage with international experience already behind them after emerging as one of the strongest East Asian teams during the first half of 2026.
Japan and South Korea complete the field
Japan and South Korea each receive one qualification slot to the six-team regional championship.
South Korea has already completed its qualification process, with Zero Gravity securing the country's place at MCT EA.
Japan will determine its representative through its own national qualifier ahead of the main event.
The four different national pathways ultimately lead to the same destination:
National Competition → MCT East Asia → International MLBB Competition
For developing MLBB regions, that structure provides a clear reason to build strong domestic competition while still offering a route beyond national borders.

Shanghai opened the first chapter
The first MCT East Asia competition took place in Shanghai, China, from May 22 to 24, bringing six teams from the four participating countries onto the same stage.
China's Guangzhou Gaming emerged as the inaugural MCT EA champion after defeating Mongolia's The MongolZ in the Grand Final.
The tournament also served as East Asia's qualification route to the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026.
Guangzhou Gaming earned direct qualification to the MSC Main Stage, while The MongolZ, The Huns and Sunset Ravens continued through the MSC Wildcard.
| MCT EA Shanghai Result | International Path |
|---|
| Guangzhou Gaming | MSC 2026 Main Stage |
| The MongolZ | MSC 2026 Wildcard |
| The Huns | MSC 2026 Wildcard |
| Sunset Ravens | MSC 2026 Wildcard |
The first event established the basic purpose of the circuit: bring the strongest teams from East Asia together before sending the region's best performers onto the global stage.
The circuit moves to Ulaanbaatar
The second chapter of MCT EA shifts the competition from China to Mongolia.
Ulaanbaatar will host the six-team tournament from October 29 to October 31, continuing the circuit's cross-border approach rather than anchoring the competition permanently inside a single country.
That rotation gives each national scene an opportunity to become more directly involved in East Asia's regional ecosystem.
It also creates something that previously existed only in limited form for these countries: regular high-level competition against neighbouring MLBB markets.
The road now leads to M8
The international destination changes for the second half of the season.
Instead of MSC, the next MCT EA will determine East Asia's representatives on the road to the M8 World Championship.
The MCT EA champion will secure direct qualification to M8, while the teams finishing second and third will receive another opportunity through the M8 Wildcard.
| Final Placement | International Qualification |
|---|
| Champion | M8 World Championship |
| Runner-up | M8 Wildcard |
| 3rd Place | M8 Wildcard |
Three of the six teams will therefore leave Ulaanbaatar with their World Championship journey still alive.
For the champion, the ticket is immediate.
For the next two, one more stage stands between them and the M8 Main Stage.
Building new MLBB markets
MCT East Asia is particularly important because its four participating markets are at different stages of competitive development.
China is building a new domestic ecosystem following MLBB's official mainland launch.
Mongolia has already produced teams capable of challenging internationally.
South Korea continues to develop its own competitive player base, while Japan represents another major gaming market where MLBB is expanding its presence.
MCT EA gives those ecosystems a reason to grow together rather than separately.
More national competition creates stronger regional representatives.
Stronger regional competition creates more opportunities internationally.
And international appearances give new players and organisations a clearer reason to enter the ecosystem.
One region, four identities
East Asia does not arrive at MCT through one unified domestic structure.
Each country has its own teams, tournaments and level of MLBB development.
That is part of what makes the circuit valuable.
China, Japan, South Korea and Mongolia can maintain their own competitive identities while still having a shared championship where those scenes intersect.
When MCT EA begins, national pathways stop mattering.
Six teams enter the same competition.
Three can continue toward M8.
Only one can become the MCT East Asia Champion.
